Seeburg SX100 Marauder

by 72Wingrider » Tue Nov 29, 2011 6:55 pm

Was given a Seeburg SX100 that had been sitting for quite a few years. Seems to be complete and in pretty good condition. Powers up, but coin mechanism isn't activating solenoid for selection buttons. Any tips on cleaning or maintenance on this unit is greatly appreciated. Also looking for a good source for a manual, if anyone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks,
Brian

Brian,
See the "announcements" section above for books--
Refresh my memory--which model "pricing unit" is installed in that phono ?
Are the coins falling all the way to the cashbox ? Are the coin switches "plugged in" ?

Only obvious markings I see are "SPU single pricing unit" and some unreadable numbers on the "ticker" on top of what I am assuming is the pricing unit. Forgive me, this is my first jukebox to work on, obviously. Coins are just falling into cash box. Nickels are sometimes sticking, but eventually fall through.

Thanks for the help,
Brian

Brian,
The "sticker" should say SPU- (and the number-which is the important part at this time).
Try to make it out---

Ron,
Looks like "5Y129". Second letter could be an X or maybe Roman #5...haha..hard to make it out. Hope this makes sense.
Thanks again for the help.
