I have a Seeburg SMC1 and the when the machine is plugged in it will not stop scanning back and forth. What is causing this problem. I have checked the limit switches and they are working ok.
Thank you in advance

your problem could be in your control panel inside the panel is a set of selonoids side by side which operate a set of rachets which operate a set of points the problem could be the selonoids are sticking give all the parts a good clean WITH THE POWER PLUG OFF OFF?? that should sort your problem out

Tom, this machine has a total of one solenoid, used to trip the mechanism.

Tom;
This machine is an SMC1. There are no solenoids in the control cenet to control scan. It's done using a pair of triacs and a flip-flop.

i had this same problem with an SMC-1, I discovered a bad IC on the board inside the control module.
