Seeburg M100A - Cleaning the pin bank & other items

Since Ron does not work on the M100A's
I am pulling the jukebox apart and sending the mechanism to John Jablonski here in San Francisco to clean and set it up.
John suggested that I clean the pin bank and switches. He also warned me about a lot of little springs in the pin bank to watch out for.
Has any novice cleaned one of these pin banks? Is cleaning these parts covered in Ron's book on the later M100's?
Also, when I talked with Gib at West Tech on the cartridge issue, he sent me to Gary at 614-297-0150 in Ohio. Gary was a wealth of info. One thing he suggested was to put in a 47K resistor if I was using the Thorpe Cartridge. I guess the ceramic ones output more than the magnetic. I am putting in a (A-off-B) toggle switch in the amp with a 10K resistor on one side and a 47K resistor on the other so it can be switched quick if the cartridge is changed.
Gary also talked about mounting a 4 or 5 inch speaker inside and ahead of the original speaker. He seemed to think it would fit and clear. He then told me rapidly what electrical changes to make to add it in. He stated that this would raise the frequency response up quite a bit. Has anyone every done this on a M100A or M100B?
Best, James
