I am sorry--I made an error--it's the "C, S-C" contacts, that are involved, not "S, S-C" contacts !
Yes, you will need to remove the whole mechanism from the cabinet, remove the/SA Unit, and have a good look at the other coil--it would be my guess it's also "fried"---
NOTE: The C, S-C contacts are the most critical, and most difficult to adjust on that mech. They MUST be free of pits, clean, with NO "foreign material" of any kind, on, or, imbedded in them. Use a burnishing tool on them as they must carry the proper amount of current. Once correctly adjusted, the Pop meter coil and one of the cancel coils should make a sharp "bang" sound, without any "buzzing sound", when fired ( think of a photo lamp on a camera--real short burst of power, ends quickly).
I insert a 1/4 amp SB fuse in the wire going to the reversing switch--cancel coils. I do not fuse the pop meter, as that coil seems to be able to handle a little longer pulse. Ron Rich
