Hello from Australia. This is a follow up to the invaluable help getting my Wurli 1900 going. My machine was butchered and missing credit unit .A wiring hack job completed the picture. Many thanks as she is now all go. I tried to add pics but could not compress them to fit . This jukebox community was so quick to respond . Rob N.Y.C got this machine going from 12,000 miles away and I learned a big lesson from Ron Rich. Get a manual and study it !! Ron has a very real life way of thinking, and that is there are less and less people out there doing this so READ and LEARN and HAVE A GO yourself. I have one 45 rpm request if it is available. Manhattan Serenade by ( I think ) Jimmy Dorsey. Not sure if available on 45 but love that tune. Thank you again ,Mark.

Mark, that is excellent news. Among other repairs you were able to retrofit a later credit unit to run on that 1900. This is the sort of repair that will be increasingly required to resurrect these old machines as the number of "just drop it in" parts declines. Personally, I've always found that making mods and improving these old machines to be the most rewarding aspect of dealing with them...that, along with placing them in a profitable location .

Just `drop in parts` have NEVER been a luxury here in Oz You cobble up parts here or your machine don`t go. The machines that made it out here were generally dragged kicking and screaming from third world locations. That is why this forum has been so very helpful. Rob I owe you mate. Mark

"Dragged kicking and screaming---" funny ! I used to know one of your "mates" that purchased used jukes from the company I worked for--he would buy 20-25 (all early Seeburg 100 select models) of them and spend a week in our building absolutely destroying them ! He took all of the mechanisms apart, cut/ripped the wires and packed them up--(all the time "hiding" new small parts -such as needles, inside the old mechanisms, and WSR's {"control centers"}). He also made the keyboards look like "junk"--usually by cutting wires, and throwing dirt on them. He did not take any amplifiers, nor cabinet parts, other then the coin return cups ( I once accused him of having "a thing" for coin return cups--If he's still alive, he'll remember that ! ) I am not sure, but I guess the company I worked for was willing to issue him "phony invoices", for customs purposes ? I know for a fact that he did not want any "paperwork" for the new parts he purchased--he would just leave the paperwork on the parts counter--
I loved it when he came to town--we went "bar hopping" all the time---
