I have a Seeburg 222DH jukebox that I would like to sell. I'd rather just get a fair price than ending up as an example in the 'More amusing eBay hopefuls' thread, but I have no idea what it is worth, especially in its present condition. Its been in the family a long time, but when my parents moved to a smaller place, they stored it in an unheated space. The chrome and overall condition suffered do to this, to the point that it's probably only appropriate as a starting point for someone's restoration project. I've enclosed some pictures to show the overall appearance, as well as some closeups to show the pitting of the chrome. I've looked at the For sale forum, but probably due to the time limit policy, I haven't come across any similar items to get an idea what a fair price is.
Would someone be so kind as to provide advice on:
1. Approximate value (ie what would be too cheap even for this condition, and what would be an upper limit for a fair price)
2. How to sell the jukebox. I don't really want to go the eBay route, and I haven't had much luck using Google to find local dealers or collectors.
The jukebox is in the SF Bay Area. Thanks for any suggestions or advice you can provide.
