Rogers Majestic Floor model

by minimustangs » Sat Apr 16, 2011 6:46 pm

Trying to figure out how to obtain a dial/face plate for a Rogers Majestic radio. The name plate of the back of the chassis has this information on the radio:

ROGERS MAJESTIC CORPORATION
TYPE: 8M1091
SER No.: B 39582

CRAFTSMANSHIP
Fine Period Furniture
by the Hespeller Furniture Co. Limited

Many years ago the dial plate cracked oonto many small pieces. I kept all the pieces all these years in hopes of someday replacing, fixing or replicating the face to bring the radio back to life.

Hi Steve,
Since you very wisely saved all of the parts, you might consider going to a "print shop" that can reproduce it using the original as a template. Some of these shops can do amazing things along these lines, for what I consider, very little money---BUT--you must look around to find the "right shop" ! Ron Rich

Steve, me being in the restoration business, I know a guy who I deal with for parts,.... Mark Oppat.
He runs a site http://www.oldradioparts.net/ and has reproduction radio dial scales available.
Check with Mark, he might be able to help.

The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
