Wurlitzer 3460 statesman

i have a wurlitzer statesman model 3460.. it will play sometimes sometimes not. most of the time when it plays it will play the same song over and over.
at times it will play a song then switch to a different song then play tht song over and over...
im a good mechanic but never worked on a jukebox, have manual ordered... am looking at a manual for one with same basic set up just a year newer model 3600 it keeps talking about home postion but i cant find where home position is suppose to be or how to set it. any help would be good.

The set-up between the models is almost the same --# of selections is different, but that should make no diff--
"Home position" if I recall right is with the gripper over the records and the basket stopped just prior to the A-1 slot. I have no idea what, if anything that has to do with the problem you describe. That problem (re-playing) is usually the result of a pin not canceling or a bad read-out switch. or bent switch lever.
