Rockola amplifer transistors

On the rockola amp driver boards from rockola 453 up to rockola 470 there are two transistors , one labelled as Q5 NPN 48929 and the other labelled as Q6 PNP 48932, does anone know what equivalent modern transistors can be used to replace them

The numbering suggests they sound like RCA part numbers - but not sure.

Probably not--- RockOla, as most jukebox makers, tended to use "house numbers". In Seeburg's case, this was done for QA and "stocking" purposes --I assume, the other companies did so for the same reasons ?

Yeh, those output transistors sounds like "house numbers" to me. Perhaps a real number is on the schematic?

They could possibly cross to NTE 130 (NPN) and NTE 219 (PNP).

The only marking on Q5 is 48929 188 7452, Q 5 on the other channel is the same except the last four digits are 7413
Q6 is marked as 48932-1 188 7452, the schematic doesn't seem to give any more clues, i attached a copy of it

Hi Clones,
IF, I were a "betting man", and unless those were not in a T-220 "plastic pack", I'd bet that you will have no problems using TIP-31C, and TIP-32C, in that application.

Thanks for the advice, they are ina a 220 case so I'll give those ones a try
