A newbie's tale on trying to get a Wurlitzer 3310 to work...

Hahahaha! Well that makes two of us my english was too poor to understand Which hole YOU were talking about I really thought you were talking about the hole in the record carrier and chassis mounting plate though, and god did I oil it hahahahaha hope that did not damage anything

I went and installed the new needle, and records are clamping and playing..
I had some trouble adjusting, again as the records were either staying stuck in that $%? small hole point and when not stuck after adjustments, they were not falling at the right place...
Found a screw near the screw of the stop switch that plays with the record guide front casting's placement and that seems to be fixed..

-But I whish I would find a way to make that (I hate it with a vengeance) small hole pointer flush with the turntable without breaking all my clamping adjustments....

I do not get what moves what between the screw on the clamp and the adjustment plate on the rod......

Julie, most jukeboxes run at least a bit fast. If this one is too speedy for your taste, first check the motor pulley for rubber deposits from the idler. This is common.

Sooooo, a little update
After 90+ post here like Ron said I can said that my Jukebox is working NOt Bad for a Noob hey? Well, I could not have done it without you guys, my mentors Rob And Ron
Sure there are still a very few issues with clamping as sometime a record will not clamp but if I release it and take the same selection again, it will clamp. At least now they fall back at the right place and don't double up in the carriage and clamp 95% of the time.
There was a hum ground sound , (sounded like when the clothes dryer work and you are downstairs it is always the same sound that loops? ) when tone arm was engaged on the record , I made a few visual check for wires and near the fluorescents, cleaned all sockets and plugs from the Amp especially the big black plug and the 2 rca ones speakers. Also cleaned and adjusted the Volume knob (I do not have the key like knob ) as the bolt was loose.
No more hum

- I am still to open the amp( got a feeling that ill need to change a few caps in there no? )
- also change fluorescent ballasts, clean the mess they made... and one starter
- A small light bulb under the selection one
- Look at the switches and connections as sometimes I need to Geppetto the selection light to light up by giving a few knocks near it so it lights up and I can make my selections
- Of course that /$?& small hole pointer perfect adjustments flush with the turntable tube.........

In the red square area, vibrations from knocking probably unstucks what is stock Dunno if it is related but, I need to hold the selection buttons a little so that it takes the inputs correctly. If I go too fast, it misses

OK--You are vibrating the contact points in / around the latch-bar--yep--related--all probably need to be cleaned/ burnished/ "Adjusted"--very carefully, as these contact blades are, IMHO, super soft, and bend easily ! You MIGHT also have a small black "sliding switch" in that area--If used, it tends to acquire two problems--dirt being one--I use Deoxit-5, on them, and 2. The "actuator" binds up, failing to move the switch to it's "home" position. clean/oil pivot on actuating arm . Ron Rich

Thought I would share my final results with you as, yes, I kinda miss you and the fact that it is working as it should in great part thanks to you I used an image of a video game I worked on for many years to personalize it even more since the original front glass is too costly and since I thought the space age look of it fitted perfectly with the Wurlitzer 3310
