Motorola Calypso Value

by psych_major » Wed Jan 14, 2009 10:21 pm

Can anyone suggest where I can document the value of a Motorola Calypso fiberglass changer? I sold two of these in very good condition to a fellow in CA and UPS destroyed them in transit. They were packed by a UPS contracted packing and shipping company. Now they refuse to pay the insurance unless I provide proof of their value. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Ah man, that sux! They're happy to take your money, and charge you according to the amount insured, but then want proof when it doesn't benefit them
Obviously they're worth what you sold them for, but that won't satisfy them.
I've heard getting USPS to pay out insurance is like extracting teeth from a savage beast!
Sorry I couldn't help buddy, but good luck! I think you'll need it.

The bill of sale is the value. It was established by contract. A copy of the contract should be enough.

Don't confuse UPS with USPS.
