Limit or Clear song selections Rowe R-89

by Steverd » Fri Nov 15, 2013 6:13 pm

Is there a way I can clear the song cue on a Rowe R-89?
Or maybe limit it to 5 songs, or something like that.

That way when I have a party one person doesn't enter 20 songs and
then other people do not get to choose any. Yes, this happens at my parties (crazy huh!?!)

My manual does not have any codes/commands/etc for the CCC.

Thanks Guys

Hi Steve,
Nope--it's a "JUKEBOX"--designed to make money--NOT play at parties, for free--
Best you can do is charge high prices, and if the option to set the CCC, is available, turn off "as selected", switch. Ron Rich

Thanks, Yes, it's on FREE PLAY since it's in my home arcade/gameroom. I'll look in the manual for the "as selected" switch. Is that on the CCC? The R-89 manual is not packed full of info in it.

Wait I see the 'Order of Play' switch on the bottom left of the CCC. It's on STD, so what happens if I move it over to 'as selected' then are the songs played in a different order?

Thank you so much
Steve

Hi Steve,
Yes--"as selected" will cause it to play in the "order" selections have been made. STD will cause it to play in what ever order it "finds" (comes to it) the selections that have been made. Most operators put them on STD, as it leaves less time between selections--more money ----Ron Rich

Thanks for the info, so I 'THOUGHT' my CCC was the same I saw online, only to find this when I got home.
It does not appear to have that STD/As selected switch (does it?)

DO I have another options with this?
Thanks again for all of the help!

Steve,
Can't tell from your photo--that switch ( along with the "test switch") is located to the left of P-6, on most of them--remove the cover, and see if it's there ??
What do you want to accomplish with that switch ?
