Max Baer vs. Joe Louis Boxing Contest transcribed record

by old fogey » Tue Jul 17, 2007 4:00 am

I have a 33 1/3 record which is a transcribed record of the Joe Louis - Max Baer fight from a radio station WEAF, dated 9-24-35 and hour listed as 10pm. A pasted red and yellow circular label is on the record with the following information: Morner Multigroove Recording under Dyer Patents and Radio and Film Methods Corp'n. It plays from the inside to outside of the record which I assume is the way many transcription records played at the time.
Is this a common record that was mass produced for radio stations to be played at a later time? I can't find anything on the internet about the record, or the company listed. Any information would be appreciated. Also wondered if this record has any value whatsoever.

Is the label printed or handwritten?
