Rowe Cd100E Mute Circuit

This jukebox does not mute the amp when in stand by mode and the AVC, when switched to the on position, lops off a third of the volume when it's activated at the beginning of a song, annoying to say the least. I do not have the manual but have repaired this type of amp in the past such as rebuilding the driver boards, power amp section etc. Has anyone had this problem and how did you resolve it?

Rowe "changed" the mute feature, sometime in production. Look at the CCC, on the right center--P-13.
If there is a plug with only one wire, that's the "mute control". If not there, look at the MCC, and you should find it.
As far as I recall, it was always an orange/black wire. Also check inside the amp, as it is a single, or dual, wire connector, on the INSIDE, of the pre-amp board. (be sure the "mute" plug is inserted on the outside of the amp, too).
Once this is checked, you should have mute functions, and the AVC problem will most likely be resolved too--
If not, the triac mute control circuit, that you are using has a problem--or the relay in the amp has a problem--most likely the former.

Ron, tried those and still have the same result. Only one wire is indeed on connector P13, (orange w/blk chaser), but two on the pre amp connector. There is no mute plug to speak of on the amp itself?? I'm now looking at the pre amp board to try and chase the mute circuit but if you or anyone else has any other ideas, please chime in, thank you!

Major oops here, just looked the mute plug right in the face so to speak.... it was too obvious, still having trouble but will post results soon... thank you for putting up with my oversight!
