Seeburg SMC-1 playback issue

by der1311 » Wed Feb 29, 2012 11:16 pm

I have a Seeburg SMC-1 and have a problem where after a selection is made, the record starts playing then about 10 seconds later the sound quickly fades out. The record keeps spinning until the end of the song then rejects it normally. I just replaced the MCU with a 2nd gen mcu hoping that would solve the problem but it is still happening. Any help greatly appreciated.

That problem is amplifier related-- Either you have a short in the speaker line, or remote speakers hooked up incorrectly, or there is an internal problem in the amplifier. What color wires are connected to which terminals, on what type / Code amp ?

Here's a Pic of what I have it setup as of now. But I just tried to make a selection and now it just scans back and forth so must also have MCU problems.

I only see "consolette" audio wires in the photo--there should be a red and blue wire connected also--- Contact me directly at ronnnrich@yahoo.com.
