OK--now I understand what your line of thinking is--You have forgotten that it originally was designed for US money. In that case, depending the age of the unit, it was designed for three or four coin use. If electronic pricing was used, or even late mechanical pricing, it probably "accumulates" credits, up to a dollar, or two. This can be done using multiple coins, of different denominations, or a single coin. Ron Rich

I've suddenly experienced a problem with this.
I made a selection which played fine, but didn't make another for about an hour and now I'm experiencing this problem.
The machine is showing credits available.
If I press the first digit it engages and releases and the "first digit" light comes on.
The same happens with the second digit, it engages, releases and the "2nd digit" light comes on.
But when I press the third digit, it engages but doesn't release and nothing happens.
If I press "reset" the third button releases and the two lights go out as they should. But nothing else is happening
Anyone with any ideas?

Panic over, I had an e-Mail from Phil Mason of Mason's games in Manchester, whom I'd contacted with my problem ,to say he'd rung a guy who repairs jukeboxes for them. This guy rang me the next day and it turned out that he only lived "down the road" from me!
The wall box is now fixed and I'd like to express my thanks for the instant help I received.

He was quite honest about it as he wasn't sure exactly what was the problem, as he wasn't familiar with this model although he's been working on jukeboxes since the early sixties, it could have been any number of things. So it was a case of checking everything in the sequence. From what I understood him saying, he feared from my description of the fault over the phone, was a problem with the latch bar itself, apparently the whole bar would have had to be replaced if it were a problem with any of the individual buttons and these bars where the components are riveted together are now unavailable. Fortunately, when he examined it he found it was OK.
All the plug in components he tested metered out OK, so it had to be either a dry joint or a poor contact. So a process of unplugging and replugging a few components, including slightly pulling out and pushing back in, the circuit boards, solved the problem.
There are three printed circuit boards, (middle right in this photo)
Any one of these where they "plug in" may not have been making good contact and also the motor above them may have stopped between contacts. (I don't know but maybe I might have slightly disturbed one of the boards when I last removed the coin box). Anyway, a process of his trial and error, born of experience, made my day!
He was most complimentary about this box as he agreed with me that it looked almost like new and with very little evidence of use, despite it's age, so maybe that was part of the problem.

What of the "mechanical bits," if anything, needs a bit of occasional lubrication on this?
I think the motor, top right hand corner looks as if it has nylon bearings. So that won't.
What about the ratchets in the credit switch?
I know not to touch the button latch assembly
There's nothing in the manual.
