HELP MY GRUNDIG MAJESTIC!!!

by Tdeckard3 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 1:41 am

I have recently inherited a Grundig Majestic console that I am trying to restore. I can't seem to find out my exact model or year it was made. I know it was my Grandfather's and was purchased when he was in the army. It has suddenly stopped getting power on the radio side of the console. I checked the fuse it was blown... replaced it and blew that one... tried again with same result. Not sure what to check next or where to get the info I need to repair. Please help if you can.

Stop replacing blown fuses.
Each time you force power into that unit, you could be doing even more damage than originally was.
There's a REASON why the fuse blew.
Age takes its toll on vintage equipment - if it hasn't been checked out in a long time.

Post your location, and perhaps a local servicer in your area would be of assistance in getting that thing running properly again.
These things always need a pro to go into them.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

I am in the Hampton Roads area of VA. I could use a little help finding someone in my area to help me with my Grundig.
