AMi H ALL BUTTONS FROZEN

by H-200 Squeak + Zip » Sun Apr 19, 2015 2:00 am

There must be a quick fix! Just installed stepper cover from Jukebox Revival in Nederlands, perfect fit! Terrific! The H played records before I installed the cover and played them afterwards but after putting back the right side's mech cover and frontpieces, the buttons don't push down. Three times I tried the Reset button: nothing. Ron Rich, if you read this, it's Chris in Oakland, Ca. You came over twice and fixed the box a few months ago, it's been running fine except sometimes it doesn't reject played records but that could be the record, not the jukebox. Once one button froze and the Reset button freed it but ALL the buttons are stuck now. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi Chris,
Sure, I remember you, -- you are a nice Lady ! I guess this is what I get for telling you that the only thing I could see missing on your H, was the
Pulse Converter Cover (AMi terms for "stepper"). I would ASSUME, it is hitting (touching) something and causing this problem ?
I will PM you--Ron Rich

Hey Ron! I added USA to my address in Profile and some other stuff too. I use "stepper" because it's what Jukebox Revival uses and mostly, it's shorter to write down! I could take it off again though the entire process is difficult because of having to get the mech cover back on afterwards. Records PLAYED when the pulse converter cover was both off and on. It was when I put the right hand side mech cover back on that the keys became frozen. I must have jiggled or broken something or made wires touch that aren't supposed to.
I will PM you now. Chris
