1962 Magnificent Magnavox Console

Hello Everyone!

I haven't posted anything on here in a while, so I thought I would tell you all about my
new pride and joy! Well, I've actually had it for about 6 months now. I got it at a
local thrift store, and it's a 1962 Magnavox Console Stereo. I have had three or four
other mangavox stereo consoles, one of which I still have upstairs. That one is a
1963 Astro-Sonic Magnavox, But this one is by far my favorite. There is no hum in
it at all, and the speakers are nice and clear!! I cannot believe how good this stereo
sounds for being almost 50 years old. I have had many newer/modern stereo systems in my youth, and into my early adulthood, but they all sounded like pieces of junk compared to my Magnavox's.

Like I said, I have had a few Magnavox Stereo's. They were all fantastic, some sounding better than others. One of the first ones I had, my Great-Aunt gave me, and that one sounded pretty good as well. This one has an Imperial Micromatic turntable, and everything on this stereo works, including the AM/FM radio. Anyone who would like to see a picture, just ask and I will E-mail it to you!!
