Ami Jukebox coils?

by cosworth » Sun Nov 07, 2010 8:41 pm

The most ami's have 2 coils on the arm for turning the vinyl when a selection is odd and when the selection is even. When that coil ruined what we can do? I cannot find on the internet a person that sells those coils or anyone who will service them. If anyone know where i can fid those coils will be very helpfull. Thank you!

Where are you--you should state this in your "profile" so that a question like this can be answered--
Also-what model AMi do you need it for--as there were different versions of "that" coil-- Ron Rich

Your manual should list the part number for the coil.

I found a part catalog so the coils that i need is F6120 and F6121 for the arm grip and two F3637 for canceling the pins when a selection made. Please if anyone know where i can buy those coils as NOS or if there is anyone that have service them please let me know. My jukebox is AMI G-200 and i Live in Greece. Thank you!

I hope some one can help you, but if not, you will need to re-wind them-- Ron Rich

Are your coils burned or do they just not work? I operated G-200s, Hs, Is and Js. Don't remember replacing any of the coils that you need. Has your G-200 been updated. On the rear of the record magazine the pin reset coils have a switch that opens when the coil operates. Each one of these switches need the wires soldered together. Has the toggle shifter switches been updated? When the right mechanism cover is removed, are there switches that are operated when the toggle shifter moves? On the G-200 these switches were mounted on the rear of the transfer mechanism and can only be accessed by removing the transfer assenbly or the record magazine. This would be the same as the H, I Js.

Edwin,
What's the "update" on the toggle shifter switches? Ron Rich

Ron, the update consisted of a kit to put the switches on the right side of the mechanism, like the H,I and Js. Another cam shaft switch was added to break the circuit to the toggle shifter coils. As wired from the factory the circuit was broken when the toggle shifted. The mechanism fuse was changed from an 8/10 amp slo/blo to a 1 amp slo/blo.

Edwin,
Thanks--I have only worked on a few "G" models--guess that they were all updated, as I don't remember seeing switches under the transfer assembly--but do remember them on the right--
