Seeburg 100 C - Sporadic selector problem

by zuck338 » Mon Nov 23, 2015 12:51 am

My Seeburg works great most of the time. Every once in a while the selector stops working properly. Normally the bush buttons on the selector give reasonable amount of resistance when pushed. When the selector stops working properly, the buttons give no resistance when I push them and they obviously do not select a record or make the player move when this is happening. I am usually able to resolve the issue by unplugging the jukebox while it is on, and plugging it back in. Sometimes I have to do that a couple times to get the selector to kick in again.

Suggestions?

This indicates either a lack of proper lubrication in the CCU, and/ or a "sticking plunger" in the CCU, subtract coil. A DROP of 20 wt ND oil should be applied to all moving points, and the coil core stop examined to determine if the brass tail piece has broken or is missing. Ron Rich

Can you post a link to the best place to get the 100c service manual? Pdf download if possible.

In the meantime can you tell me where I.in the jukebox the ccu is located?
