Seeburg usc 2

Hi friends, I'm submitting this question for a friend, so if more information is needed, I will respond back. He is attempting to fix a selection issue. The the #2 will not respond when selected, and #3 comes up when #5 is selected. He says the asm seems ok and he has tried the gray and black boxes. I'll bet the 6,7,8 buttons don't work right either--
Data line C is shorted--somewhere--first guess is in the DES-- Are there any DEC' s installed with the phono--?
Does he have a copy pf my "Seeburg MicroLog Trouble Shooting Guide " ?
