Power Wiring for a Garrard AT6 Needed

by NickO » Mon Aug 15, 2016 2:28 am

Hi, I am new to this neat site. Please note I do not do social media. I and a friend pulled this from a Sylvania SC773C or maybe SC774K Console (was not able to get model number so this is a best guess based on appearance. This table has a 4 contact plug on bottom. I'd like to wire this to a 120 volt line, but with no schematic, prefer to get it right the first time. This is for a son and I made a base by hand already. There is a green wire to ground, a grey one to motor and a brown plus red wire(s) to a 3 contact switch. Would appreciate any help. This unit had a 4 lead cable to a combo power supply, transistor power amp and a tube tuner I believe. Thanks.

The easy and simple way is to merely ohm out the connector with with a meter, with the switch on, and off.
This will clearly resolve things.
Additionally, tracing the wiring out is easy.
But if by chance you cannot do these simple electrical troubeshooting steps, I'd advice you don't putter with potentially dangerous electrical wiring.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
