Wurlitzer 1100 Selector Issue

by Gordo » Wed Nov 25, 2015 4:05 am

Hi,

I hope someone may be able to steer me in the right direction.

My Wurlitzer 1100 will not select the number 5.
This seems odd to me as it selects the numbers 13 and 21 (same selector button) correctly. Therefore I assume the selector buttons are working fine.
I have removed the encore selectors several times looking for an answer. No luck.

I have tried looking for a solution within the manual without any success.

Can anyone suggest some options that I can check?

Always appreciate any advice.

Kind Regards

Gordon.

It seems to me that the #5 coil is open--or the wires to it are open, or the plunger/armature is stuck ??

Fixed....you were correct. It was a wire between the selector coil and the plug.

Ron, I owe you a steak dinner if I ever get back to The States (it's a long way from Sydney, Australia).

Thanks

Gordo..
