Need Emergency Help

Hello All,
I am sure you get people like me here all the time.
I just got my first jukebox. It's a AMI-Row MM-6 Jukebox
And of course, it's doesn't work correctly. It turns on, and all that. However, the person I bought it from, it came to HIM with the guts out of it. He did the best he could, putting it back to together. However, there is one cable that wasn't contected. It's the Turbo Therm cable on the right side of the guts. Does anyone know where this would go? Everything looks like it's hooked up properly. Like I said it turns on and lights up and everything, when you make a selection, the motor starts. I live in the metro Detroit area, and if someone know what's the deal, can someone please message me. I was also wondering if anyone out there, has a .PDF file of the manuel, that I could buy and then download or something. I found a place where it may be contacted to, however, it looks like it was connected there, it would be in the way of the record coming down. PLEASE help. I really want to get this thing working quickly.

First off, I haven't been doing resorations and repairs that long. Only about 2 years but, I CAN tell you that "get it working quickly" isn't going to happen. Patients and time...

Ha yes, you get it to do something quickly....smoke an amp, damage a record, shock you, etc. Slow down and take your time. My first restoration was suppose to be 2-3 week project. I'm not 100% done yet (2 years later).

Go on ebay and look for your manual. You can find most every model there. You can also check here.

I recently completed renovation on an MM4 and plan to start on an MM5 next week. These are very similar to yours. I was a field service engineer for Rowe during the time your unit was produced and wouldn't even start on one of these jukeboxes without a manual in hand. An excellent source for manuals is <www.victoryglass.com> They are excellent quality reprints of the originals, done on quality paper and spiral bound so they can be laid flat or folded back completely. I don't recognize the stray cable you describe, but these jukeboxes did have cables for optional equipment such as a money meter or wallbox power supply that weren't necessarily present.

I think of traffic accidents and house fires as being emergencies. But I once got a work order for an "emergency Dictaphone repair" that I could not see the emergency part of (a high official was in a hurry).

Is it possible that cable is for an accessory you don't have?

Those jukeboxes with bubbles rising in liquid-filled tubes came to mind when you said "turbo-therm".

Hi do you have the search unit fitted to the right hand side of the mechanism (as you look at the front of the jukebox)? this has a 30 pin molex plug connected to it, is this the cable you are talking about?
