Wanted Magnavox Micromatic

I am looking for a micromatic turntable(working of course) I have a 70's Console and the turntable has a speed problem and I can't seem to fix it. I have pulled the motor and cleaned it and also have relubed and still cannot seem to get it right. I live in centeral Pennsylvania and will gladly pick up for the right one.
If anyone can put me in the right direction thanks, i have had feed back as far as fixing this but if anyone has any input thanks

Is the speed consistently wrong, or is it unstable?

If the speed is consistently wrong, and it is quite fast, you might have a 50 Hz version. Replace the motor spindle.

If the speed is wobbly, check the idler wheel, the jockey arm on the idler, the height of the idler, the condition of the rubber motor mounts, the center bearing of the turntable, and the motor spindle.

Thanks for the response, I will try to clarify the problem. The speed is slow on all four speeds and also in play the turntable actually bounces(vibrates). I have had it apart and cleaned all old grease and reapplied new, Ialso have tried to get the idler wheel to the correct height to hit on the capstan correctly but no luck. Is there anythig else I can do. I really don't want to replace it if it can be fixed

That sounds like an idler wheel with shot rubber. A replacement is needed.

It also might be that the jockey assembly is either stiff (from lack of lube) or out of adjustment. The adjustment is in the support column on the new ones, and is adjusted by sliding the motor pulley on the shaft on the old ones. The motor pulley is a spring friction fit.

It may be that the motor mounts have deteriorated. These are rubber cushions in the motor mounting assembly. The motor will be too low if they are bad.

One other possibility is that the center bearing is missing from the turntable. There should be a ball bearing assembly. But it was made of fiber or Bakelite in the early units, and may have broken in shipment. The good news is that a Garrard SL series turntable center bearing fits it (and is quieter). I have a Garrard bearing in mine.

All the above posts will steer you in the right direction,but if the idler is beyond repair-and even new-old-stock stuff could be bad if allowed to dry out...One route is Rubber Renue from MG Chemicals,Ltd.in Toronto,ON...Sniff for the powerful wintergreen scent,apply to the rubber with a swab sevseal times-but be careful,as the solution could damage some types of rubber.Another tack--West-Tech Services in Kentucky should be able to rebuild it at a reasonable price-Cheers-Bruce

I am interested, please send me the model # and a pictur would help. I am located in NE PA. I have not been able to remedy the problem with the turntable in the console so this is the next best thing.
