Seeburg USC1 Questions

Found 311125 Power Supply Board Assembly in Digital Control Center Type DCCI, Code B in the manual. Now I need to locate the reset transistor. Also, your book arrived in today’s mail. Will see if I can find anything in the book about “timing”. I know how to time a car, but I have never "timed" a component in a Juke Box

I did notice info about lamps need to be 1819. In checking this I found 4 empty sockets, 1 socket with an 1819 lamp and 2 sockekts with 1614 lamps.

Will replace missing bulbs and improper bulbs with 1919 bulbs.

Thanks for the tip, most boards do not allow you to edit an old post.

My manual has a DCC1, Code B. Looking at the actual Juke Box, it has a DDC3 Code B installed in it. I do not have a schemtic of the DDCw, Code B.

Is there any concern about the difference between a DDC1 and DDC3 that I should be aware of in making these tests?

In reading your manual, it says SHP & TSA amps are interchangeable to "some degree".

My Seeburg USC1 has a SHP1 Code B Amp installed instead of the TSA10 Amp listed in the Seeburg Manual. Obviouly, I also have no schematic for the SHP1 Code B Amp.

Any words of wisdom on anything I can do to protect the phono since this interchange is not recommended?

It was not recommended due to thermal problems. The heatsinks on the the TSA vs. the SHP, are mounted differently, and the SHP's, if used in USC phono's, tend to overheat. If I were to leave a SHP in a USC phono, I think I would drill a series of small vent holes in the cabinet rear wall to allow the heat to escape--and maybe some lower ones to allow fresh air in ? (Don't recall offhand what the air "intake" looks like in that model) Ron Rich

I shall plan on drilling some ventialtion holes. top & bottom for air flow. In process of doing "D" cell batery test and checking voltages.

Hi all. I am having a problem checking the -27 volts coming to the dtp1. the manual shows that pin 4 on connector j3700 should be live coming frim the DCC1. and pin 5 shold have the same voltage for the panel lamps. i get the correct voltage on pin 5 and not 4. It is almost like the pins are reversed. Is the manual correct?
It also also shows that the -27 passes through from one pin to the other. so i am not sure if this has damaged the dtp1. I am at a loss as to what is happening. we have no credits at all. there is no way to get a good write in, the read is fine we did the battery test and the tormat works great. Thanks in advance. You are not reading the print correctly--notice the -27 vdc source has a "SW" showing ? That stands for "switched"--is the "switch" on ? If you have -27 on pin 4, the "more coins" lamp should be lit--?? Do you have the correct lamps installed in that section--it is necessary to use, ONLY, # 1819 "double hung" lamps in this section. Are the resistors next to the lamps good ?
The "switch", BTW, is located in the DRIT--, if you have that unit installed, or by a "dummy plug" which should be plugged into the DRIT's socket down to the right of the service switch package, on that model phono.
