Help - Rockola 480 mechanism

by dwagler » Tue Mar 30, 2010 8:37 pm

Hi - I am working on a 480 for a local couple, and I need a little help.

The mech was all gummed up, so I took the gripper assembly apart and got the old grease out. I didn't pay enough attention to how it goes back together !!!

I seems to be cycling ok, but i wondered if someone could either post some pictures or email them to me showing the gears towards the rear of the juke on the gripper arm assembly. Also, i think the timing is messed up, and the record doensn't reject - so I still have some problems. Also, I cant figure out how the rod goes back on to the back side of the gears - I think it is for the speed of the turn table.

If there is a manual that shows this, I would happily go buy it, Victory Glass is 10 min down the road from me. I have had this in my garage for a while now, so it's time to get it figured out and move on.

Thanks to anyone that can help.

Here's an exploded view from the parts manual. Hope this helps.

Hi Dave. I just posted what sounds like the same problem
You aRe having, or maybe had. I'm hoping you worked it out
And can enlighten me! The diagram doesn't show how the rod
To the turntable should be in back. Hoping you can help. Raven
