Rowe Diplomat record laid on platter then picked up

by socalcomic » Sat May 09, 2015 5:51 am

1965 Rowe Diploma, arm pulls record out of carousel, lays it on platter. Needle arm comes over to play and then immediately arm comes back, pulls record off of platter and puts back in carousel. Any ideas whats causing this? Thanks

Most likely a closed reject switch, or a failure of a cam switch, or lack of proper lubrication on gripper motor.

Hi socalcomic,

I agree with Ron the problem will be one of the reject buttons that is shorted or that the cut off reed switch is broken.
