Hi Keith,
Iffin, you have a model R that is equipped with a "Tormat", I wanna see it !
The R, like all Seeburg 100's, up thru the model JL, was equipped with a 'S(olenoid) A(ssembly) U(nit)'--aka "pin-bank".
That lamp problem is somewhat common in them--the socket is failing to conduct current. Either the center, spring loaded contact, or the stationary contact, or both, is bad. SOMETIMES, this can be "cured" by slightly "spinning" the tabs that the wires are attached to. Other times, carefully applying Deoxit-5 to the center contact spring-loaded shaft will work. Also, check that the end of the spring, where it contacts the lamp is clean. If the problem is common to both lap holders, often time the plug/socket is to blame. A replacement socket, is the only "sure cure" sometimes. Ron Rich
