I just resurrected a mid to late 60s/early 70s Sears Silvertone 4-speed transistorized plastic case portable mono record changer (model 528.32523000, if you can extract the manufacturer.) According to the Sears parts site, the part number of the adaptor is 39-198-0 (a web source says that 38-198-0 is the same except for color,) though it's NLA from them. The changer has a square tubular metal tonearm and a plastic tapering square overarm with an automatic swing-out record-size sensor. The cartridge housing has no pick-up point. The fixed spindle measures 3" from the platter surface, 3 1/4" total length.
The empty storage slot in the lid indicates an offset flat 45 adaptor measuring no more than 3 3/8" long by no more than 1/2" wide. The platter depression where the base of the adaptor locates is 1 5/8" diameter. I can send pix if needed.
thanks,
Bob
