Columbia 312: Looking for a belt

Does anyone know what the correct belt length and size is for this player is? I picked one up today and everything is working, minus the belt, and it is long gone.

According to the info I have on the 312, it doesn't use any "belt".

It's got an Alliance or General Industries common multi-speed platter drive system that uses an idler wheel.
That wheel should have an identifying number on it for replacement.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

Thank you! I was unsure as to whether it was or not. I now have it running, a bit slow albeit, but it works for now. Any advice on getting it to play at the correct speed?

Hello eds905,

MattTec has already suggested that the idler wheel needs to be changed, this would be the best course of action, I would however clean the current idler wheel and the inside edge of the turntable and lubricate as per the specification for your turntable.

MattTec may be able to give you advice.
