German built Harting RP190 45 rpm phonograph

by Radiotvnut » Fri Feb 11, 2011 8:13 pm

This model looks like the typical RP190 45 rpm changer; however, this one appears to be a model for the German market. The brand is "Harting" and the information on the bottom states:

Harting
12-Platten-Wechsler
110/220V 50Hz 45 UpM

Since this is a 50Hz motor, it will have to be modified to work on our 60Hz system. It has the typical mechanical problems, usual dirt, and there's what looks to be a cigarette burn mark on the tonearm.

You're seeing it, dirt and all, just like I got it. Soon, I hope to have this restored.
