Rockola 480 profit setter (credit unit) question

by robxf » Mon Apr 19, 2010 8:44 pm

I have a Rockola 480. The Credit unit appears to be dead. Does anyone know why the mods were done on the #52225-1A credit boards? I've seen three now and they all have the same mods done. Jummpers, removal of resisters, trace cutting as well as a couple of capacitors added. I was thinking of rebuilding mine but wasn't sure what the purpose of the mods were. Anyone have any idea??

There was an old service bulletin about that. The unit was giving incorrect number of plays and many times giving out free plays costing operators money. The mods corrected that problem.

Thanks Ken, I figured it was something like that. Well, i'm going to have to assume that all the mods i see are from the service bulitin then. On to repairing then..YAH!
