HMV 5a soundbox WANTED in oxidised silver plate finish

by STEVE » Thu Jul 20, 2006 3:35 pm

Has any reader got one of these suitable for the HMV 193 model as pictured in the photo hosted by Joe_DS under the "HMV 203" link? I am in need of one and will offer the best cash price to anyone who has one for sale. I'm not concerned what condition the soundbox is in ie. damaged diaphragm or cracked pot metal back-plate etc, as I am willing to rebuild it. The survival of the original blued silver fascia is the most interesting part! If you can help, please use the Email button below to contact me directly.
I used to be looking for things but now I've found them I don't look at them!

Sorry I already have many 5b's. It is only very specifically a silver oxidised 5a I am asking for here. I cannot make "blind" offers for a soundbox I cannot see beforehand either. Why not put it on Ebay - you should get E 40 for it if it's in very good order.

yes, I too have a number of them in mint condition but what I'm actually looking for is an oxidised silver plated version. I don't think you have one of these do you?

If so, please email as stated using the link below.

Thanks
