Rock-Ola CD8B amp question

by Gabe » Thu Jul 23, 2015 8:25 am

Hi - I am working on the amp for this model (orange) having distortion in one channel. I found the large caps (15,000uF 35V) to be bad and have changed them. I also see discoloration in R-14 and measure it to be 4.3K ohms. Does anyone have the manual for this to let me know why it has discolored and if this is the correct value? Or if anyone has a copy they could send or I could purchase, would really appreciate it. Also, if there are any other recommendations on other component replacement – everything else looks nice, the smaller caps are good. Thanks in advance.

My Service Manual calls out that resistor, R-14, as a "6.81k 1%".
I have never worked on these.
Check the list of parts sellers above to purchase a Service Manual copy--

Thanks Ron. Is that for the preamp or the power amp?
