by TWIN COBRA MATIC » Mon Jan 23, 2012 2:06 pm

Hello everyone: Im looking for the Zenith Twin Cobra Matic turntable model # or part # is S14012 S14014 S14019 S14021 Im not sure if these turntables were used in regular production ( home models ) or just used in jukeboxes ? both of the tonearms are side by side not across from one another. Please help me figure out where and when these were used and maybe find one for sale? Please reply thanks. TWIN COBRA MATIC

Those two-arm, two speed Twin Cobra changers were used in home consoles, one model I'm restoring for a customer has an electrically operated reject/cycle button on the radio dial, which triggers a solenoid under the changer.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.

Hello MattTech: Thanks for the reply, I hope were talking about the same turntable can you post a picture? Im thinking the one your restoreing is like the one I have with one tonearm on one side of turntable and the other tonearm on the other side of the turntable, Im looking for the one that has both tonearms right next to each other do you know what I mean? Please reply thanks. TWIN COBRA MATIC

The changer I'm talking about has BOTH arms on the same side of the platter.
Has two speeds - 33 & 78.
Plug-in cobra cartridges.

Sorry, it isn't for sale - it belongs to a customer I restored it for. 1946 era.
As for info, it's re-assembled and out the door.

The 1946 Zenith was a floor console with am/fm tuner.
