Hi, These are not from the early 50.s just by looking at the design, and the electronics used. 8 tracks were not availble in the 50's. The solid state units appeared in the mid to late 60's. this particular set was made in East Germany of all places. It has a BSR changer clearly of the late 60's vintage.
I seriously don't think the will bring in the prices asked, unless someone really did not know what they were looking at . I am trying to find info for Agape and ran into this messageboard.
As a collector of genuine antiqie radios, the interest of these newer units is not that great. While they are not commonly seen, they are out there, but again, I honestly don't think you will ever see someone come back with $200, let alone $500.I hope they do for your sake, but I honestly doubt it will happen.
There us an Ebay ad right now for one of these starting at $99,99 Canadian, which is a more realistic price for these.
