Needle Tracking Presure

by Gordo » Sat Sep 21, 2013 2:25 am

Hi Everyone,

Can anyone give me advice on what the correct needle tracking pressures should be for my jukeboxes?

I have 4 jukeboxes and I want to get it right.

1. Seeburg C with the Pickering 345-03D cartridge.

2. Continental I with a Stanton 400V3 catridge.

3. AMi model K with a M44-C cartridge.

4. Wurlitzer 1700 with the Cobra system.

I play modern 45 records.

Thanks

Regards

Gordon.

Four to five grams is a good starting point. - measured of course with a suitable (and accurate) pressure gauge.

With a good stylus, and freely pivoting tonearm pivot assembly, no harm can be done to records.
The Internet is a marvelous thing, however it's not a good substitute for actually being there.
