OK, I think I got it so I can finish.
You guys are correct about the screw, I put that in as dimes were getting stuck, and it was easier to lift the screw to get the scavenger away. It was not screwed in enough to move the scavenger away from the frame.

I did not move the spring around a full twist, but added a 1/8 thick piece of plastic under the end of the spring, and that got it tight enough.

I temporarily removed the red piece, and the dime deflector and separator. The dime now moves to "Accept"! :D

I will be putting the other parts in, and adjust each as necessary.
