I have been lurking on here since I purchased my Rock Ola 414 capri...

As always I began tinkering with the unit even though its was in good operational order...

I wanted to get a small hole 45 to work in the machine...So I read over the manual and this thread viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4753

It seemed that the red and silver pins were able to move so I attempted to play it...Expecting to hear Jammin by Bob Marley at 33 1/3 speed...

Instead the pins did not drop and the tone arm jammed...

Rather than reach around and press the reject button, I attempted to move the tone arm to the area (toward the middle) that I thought would trigger a reject.

The tone arm did not return but seemd to break free from something and now rests freely in the middle...I then attempted to push the reject button but nothing happened...I smelled some burning to the right of the turntable (the coin slot side).

At this point I turned it off. Not sure where to start given that I am a newbie and probably not ready to tackle this yet. I am interested in getting it repaired unless there were some simple items to check (don't laugh)...

PS Ron I have read the manual...I know I am in a bit over my head...I am open to hiring an expert for help...I am in the bay area
