1954 seeburg fh100R

I got this nice 1954 Seeburg many years back. the technician set it up so it plays the whole 50 records. coins selection was still working. it is just for convenience.
today what it does is playing the one side of the 50 records and keep it playing back and forth. I t doesn't play the other side ( even numbers). I wonder if this is only a simple adjustments. the coin machine is still operating and shows selections. but somehow it has a memory to play the odd numbers or one side of the recored. everything is normal as far as the selector is concerned. sound is great too.
Pls help and appreciate any input.

Are you saying the phono plays with-out the use of coins--in other words it is set so that all one needs to do is press a umber and letter on the keyboard, and it should search for it ? If so, the facts that it has 50 records (100 selections), and it "plays for free", are not of any consequence.
I assume you are saying that it will play only one side of all records--if this is correct, you will need to determine if this is a "read-out", or "write-in" error. I would guess a read-out type. To determine this quickly, open the rear lower door ( CAUTION !!!--LOWER REAR DOOR SHOULD HAVE A SAFETY CHAIN ATTACHED ON RIGHT-HAND SIDE--IF NOT THERE, DOOR MUST BE SUPPORTED), remove the rear upper door and look at the "pins" in the solenoid assembly. You will note that there are two "rows" of pins. These pins, when a selection is made should move from the "stored"-center position, to the outer "selected" (or play), position. If you have a read-out problem, you will see all of the "A" side pins are stored, while some of the "B" sides are in the play. If you do not see this--have someone push A-2 while you are watching it--then try K-0--( both should start from the center-non selected position)

I am not home yet. The phono plays without the use of coins , without any selections made. it plays continuosly back and forth playing the same side of all 50 records. The only way to stop it is by turning the power button off at the rear cover. cheers for you..

OK--then it's a "record player", rather than a "jukebox"---
If you find both rows of pins, extended, then either the "sensor" that "feels" those pins has worn out, or, is "stuck
down", or the contact in the reversing switch which controls the sensors, is not making good contact. Ron Rich
