Need Help Identifying RCA Victor Phonograph Cabinet

by guest2 » Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:30 pm

I have been given an old wooden chest type piece that houses a portable phonograph. The cabinet contains 2 sets of speakers (each set consisting of three smaller speakers, probably a tweeter/mid/woofer combo based on their relative sizes) and a receiver that is connectable to the phonograph, has AM/FM stereo and an auxilary hookup. On the back of the cabinet is stapled a small, green label that says "RCA Victor", "model number : VJT-45-S", and "serial number : 71530427".

I would like to repair the system in it and possibly sell it to a collector and would appreciate any help in identifying the unit and finding somewhere/someone to help me fix it up so it sounds as good as it looks. Any info that might be helpful is welcomed. Thank you.
