WURLITZER 1970s JUKEBOX 3800 series WITH possibility of VISIBLE RECORD CHANGING MECHANISM made in USA
This RETRO box is very very loud and in average condition.
If the titles are printed on clear acetate they can be sandwiched between the glass and original plastic underneath to make this a visible playing box
The box take 50 records of the 45rpm type
Fitted with brand new stylus

It is funny to see these sorts of prices on what were referred to as "shit machines" by the old mooks on Tenth ave.
I did pick up a Q-160 and AY-160 in 1988 as the industry was closing up down there. I paid $75-ea and they wanted to throw-in an DS-160 with bad main transformer and missing speakers. I took that one but passed it to a guy in NJ who restored it in exchange for moving what I bought from those shops.
The reason those last tube models got no love is probably due to the cheaper finishes and lack of a really visible mech.
In the last tube amps it was obvious that economy was taking precedence. But in a way, the simplicity of the circuitry created a cleaner signal, especially without the whole feedback loop in the tone section. The motorized RVC was a good innovation, but the lack of a line fuse was inexcusable.
I see these as transitional models in a similar way that the Trashcan series were in the late '40s.

...and it's not just eBay. My local Craig's List site has two beauties:
A Wurlitzer 3100 Americana in very poor shape (though it does play), wanting to swap for a 2003-09 Dodge Dekota Quad Cab or similar truck with low miles. --- That's an $8,000 truck for a $300 jukebox.
and a Wurlitzer OMT vinyl jukebox circa 1989ish for $15,000.00 (must be made from solid gold).
If I am wrong and you think these prices are reasonable, then PM me, I have lots of great jukebox for sale at a fraction of these prices - even if you need it shipping to the other side of the world I will still be able to do you a better deal than these.
