AMI "C" Transfer Motor Problems

by KJ Archer » Mon Jan 25, 2016 2:42 am

When I power up my AMI "C", the transfer motor moved over the turntable, and the clamps open.

Now I cannot get the motor to lift the record to put it back in the rack. The cancel button doesn't seem
to do anything, I have selections set on the record rack.

Did anyone else have a similar problem. The troubleshooting section says "See sectlon 8/10 Amp. fusetron blown", but I cannot find this section in the manual (except a small section that says try and find short.

Any help as to where to look ?

I am ASSUMING, that you are speaking of the griper arm that has moved over to the turn table and not the "motor" itself---
The 8/10 amp slow blow fuse is located in the power supply. The first thing I think I would do is look to see if the selection "pin was pulled". If so, I would manually reset it, check, and replace that fuse-- Ron Rich

Ron,

Yes, of course the motor itself isn't moving.
It is the gripper arm.

I have reset all the selector fingers. No change.
The 8/10 fuse is not blowing, Im just going through the symptoms, and following the links to other parts of the manual for ideas.

The electrical portion of this jukebox is driving me crazy, don't know why.

Will continue looking for problems, and will post updates.
