"Contact points"- care/cleaning

Please read, or re-read, all of the above postings as I think, all of your questions are answered. I wiil re-state this again--contact points should be as smooth as a baby's bottom !! Ron Rich

I don't know why this was not answered before,--I don't recall seeing it, although it appears I did so while on vacation, last year ? So I will do so, in detail, now--
1. "Strange color--I would guess that this is the result of an incorrect pressure adjustment on these contacts--contacts are not closing with enough force to provide a good contact, and are thus "burning"-
2. Pitted, or dirty--difficult to say--need to see them after cleaning--if there is a "depression" ("pit") on one side and "build-up" of material on the other--it's "Pitted" !!
3. Ruined by burnishing--No way--you do not burnish the side of a contact-just the face--I would assume that this contact point was damaged when inserted onto the blade ?
4. Spray this----? Nope--I would not do that --I MIGHT put cleaner on a scrap of paper and wipe the surfaces gently, if I suspected this is contamination--(see above !)
5. --circles-- ?---This is a bi-metal contact--rare in juke box use--often used in pinball's for high current applications.
6. "--Grooves"---. It would be my guess that this is typical of file marks--never burnished--
