Hi Chris,
Most phono makers designed their equipment to run in any temp. a human could live in. There should be no "grease" associated with the turn-table--only oil, which does, with age, tend to become "sluggish", when cold, and collect "gunk". I would advise you to remove the turn table and use a "Q-tip" saturated with a non residue safety solvent to clean the operating surfaces of the turn table, and do the same to the idler wheel. After it's all been cleaned, oil the motor, idler wheel and turntable with 20 wt. ND motor oil. Ron Rich
