Rockola 6000 CD

by ds100h » Tue Mar 17, 2015 3:38 am

Hi

My daughter's Rockola CD 6000 is acting up. The record carousel does not go to park and spins until you shut it off. While it is spinning if you make a selecion, it may play the song you selected or it may play some other random song.

Looking for some guidance on where to look to resolve this issue as the manual for these units are very poor for trouble shooting.

Darrell,
Isn't the "homing" done with an opto--perhaps it's just dirty ? If not, it probably has failed.

Hi
Yes and if its like the rockola opto on the last series of vinyl rockolas i hate them, if its the same the led should flash on off etc as the carriage moves and possibly a slight adjustment should get it back on track

Yes, it is an opto sensor and I have cleaned it. Next step is to figure out how to adjust the opto sensor, I am not happy with Rockola's manual at all.

Thanks , for verifying problem is most likely in opto sensor.
