Yes, you need to find out what kind of needle it uses, some needles could be $75.00, or less and even more. However, if it is a straight steel needle, then $75.00 would probably unreasonable, steel needles would run about $3.00 to maybe $6.00 a packet of at least 50 or 100. The steel needles which were used in most early spring powered victrola's were only intended to play one record and then change the needle for each play.
If the machine is electric then it may require a different type of needle, in which case you must supply the model number.
