i have the exact same blonde by looking on the outside, there were differences depending when it was produced,Does these have the amp185(stereo)? OR TWIN AMP169's (Mono x2 which is also stereo)ear these were made in 1958-'60 period and put out about 15 watts per channel.these 2 variations used differnt model numbers as well. Ive seen more of these magnavox split cabs. that have the amp185 stereo amp than the twin mono. they were also offered in several styles.Mine feature the twin mono amps,I feel they are worth-$ 50-100 range but depends how bad you like them. Also aval with a am/fm tuner with the amp175.they do have lots of speakers 15,8,2@4 tweeter per cabinet.Sound is decent for the age. good luck

Barry,
Sounds like you have Magnasonic phonograph system. You probably have a 10 watt amplifier with phonograph in one cabinet, and a companion speaker cabinet with record space for about 150 LP's. Eight speakers total. You could locate more numbers perhaps. Look on the amp chassis and the companion speaker cabinet. How many tubes on the amp? Look underneath the record changer and get its number. All these help.

Yes magnasonic, magnavox states this is their best buy budget model.I know for a fact that If you only bought the record console by itself you would possibly get the amp175 or 185 (these are stereo amps with 2 10watt channels) depending if it had a radio or not. I have seen 2 or 3 of these monos (1 main cabinet) wired for mono from the factory but still had the stereo amplifier installed combining both channels?.they had a pasted speaker diagram inside the console. These matching speaker cabinet also had a model number like S-18. It houses speakers and the storage compartment only. they have no amp in them.I would like to see the rear his and heres a couple of shots of mine

Hi I dont have a model sticker on mine anymore but in contact with someone in New York that has an identical style with mine with the 2 mono amp169. That person states the model number is 1sk297 F with companion speaker is the s33.Im thinking mine was probably an earlier model then his.

Well I see you may have the Amp 185. That's a good one. And the record changer is an Imperial 400. Inquiring minds want to know...could you just confirm that by looking for the numbers. Tho I don't like the oak (blonde) finish you do have a nice set-up. As to value the amp is the most valuable part in today's market.
